From the Battle of Ypres to the Treaty of Versailles, relive the horror of WWI with this comprehensive 3-DVD collection. Also, explore unique memorabilia from The National Archives, faithfully recreated from original materials.

Includes:

1914: To Arms - The first phase of WWI saw the British Expeditionary Force's efforts at Mons and the German victory at Tannenberg. As both sides attempted to outflank each other, the conflict soon descended into the stalemate of trench warfare.

1915: Death in Foreign Fields - Small territorial gains came at enormous cost. British cities faced bombings, German U-Boats targeted neutral shipping, and poison gas was unleashed during the Battles of Bolimov, Ypres, and Loos.

1916: Stalemate - The Germans launched an assault on Verdun, the Russians began the Brusilov Offensive, and the British initiated the Battle of the Somme. At sea, the Royal Navy and the German High Seas Fleet clashed at Jutland.

1917: The Breaking of Armies - Despite Russia's withdrawal, the Allies achieved significant gains at Vimy Ridge and the Battle of Messines, culminating in the Third Battle of Ypres. The Battle of Cambrai marked the first use of tanks in warfare.

1918: Germany's Last Gamble - Germany launched devastating "Storm Trooper" attacks but struggled due to a lack of supplies and the outbreak of Spanish Flu. Mounting pressures led to an armistice and the war's end on November 11, 1918.
